This unique and interactive workshop will focus on the critical procedures the are undertaking by Emergency and Critical Care Staff. Learn through doing and dissecting. During the workshop we will be working with harvested pig organs for a truly unique review of pathophysiology and procedures. Not just hearing, but actually seeing, touching, and performing procedures are the keys to really understanding.

The course is fully catered for including tea and coffee on arrival, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Dietary preferences will be collected in the registration form.

Continuing Professional Development:

All participants receive a certificate of attendance with Continuing Professional Development points. Attending this course, participants will receive  7 CPD points.

Emergency Nurses, Paramedics, Retrieval Staff, ICU nurses, Trauma Nurses, Theatre Nurses, Nursing Students or anyone involved in the care of the critical care patient.

Do you provide notes for the session?

Yes, however we are concerned over the impact of large amounts of paper being wasted. However we offer all our talks, further articles of interest and relevant videos on a USB that each participant will receive on the day.

About the pigs

No animals were euthanised for this course. The organs are harvested as a result of routine meat production. These would normal have been discarded or been processed by the pet food industry.
